Harry Potter might well have agreed with Jims. In the HP and the Goblet of Fire he is upset by a story about him in the wizarding world's paper, the Daily Prophet.
" The article had appeared ten days ago and still Harry got a sick burning feeling of shame in his stomach every time he thought about it. Rita Skeeter (left, as played by Miranda Richardson) had reported him as saying an awful lot of things that he couldn't remember ever saying in his life...
"I suppose I get my strength from my parents, I know they would be very proud if thet could see me now... yes, sometimes at night I still cry about them, I'm not ashamed to admit it..."
(Rita) drew out a long acid-green quill and a roll of parchment... She put the tip of the green quill into her mouth, sucked it for a moment with apparent relish, then placed it upright on the parchment, where it stood balanced, its point quivering slightly.
"Testing... my name is Rita Skeeter, Daily Prophet reporter"
Harry looked down quickly at the quill. The moment Rita had spoken, the green quill had started to scribble, skidding across the parchment.
Attractive blonde Rita Skeeter, forty-three, whose savage quill has punctured many reputations -
....
(Harry) was distracted by the quill. Even though he wasn't speaking, it was dashing across the parchment and in its wake he could make out a fresh sentence:
An ugly scar, souvenir of a tragic past, disfigures the otherwise charming face of Harry Potter, whose eyes -
"How do you think (your dead parents) would feel if they knew you wre competing in the Triwizard Tournament? Proud? Worried? Angry?
Harry was feeling annoyed now. How on earth was he to know how his parents would feel if they were alive? He could feel Rita Skeeter watching him very intently. Frowning he avoided her gaze asnd looked down at the words the quill had just written:
Tears filled those startingly green eyes as our conversation turns to the parents he can barely remember -
Wikipedia notes: "Skeeter" is slang for mosquito, which is a clear reference to her Animagus form, as well as her very annoying nature. It may also be a subtle reference to paparazzi, which is a dialectical word for a buzzing insect.
Fan site The Harry Potter Lexicon refers to an interview Harry Potter author JK Rowling gave to Newsround in July ,2000:
There's a character in (Goblet), Rita; how true is this a depiction of your relations with the press?
Well I'll tell you the truth but I doubt very much that anyone's going to want to hear this. I tried to put Rita in Philosopher's Stone - you know when Harry walks into the Leaky Cauldron for the first time and everyone says, "Mr Potter you're back!", I wanted to put a journalist in there. She wasn't called Rita then but she was a woman. And then I thought, as I looked at the plot overall, I thought, that's not really where she fits best, she fits best in Four when Harry's supposed to come to terms with his fame. So I pulled Rita from Book One and planned her entrance for Book Four and I was really looking forward to Rita coming in Book Four. For the first time ever, my pen metaphorically hestitated over writing her, because I thought, everyone will think this is my response to what's happened to me.
But the fact is, Rita was planned all along. Did I enjoy her a little more because of what's happened to me - yeah I probably did!

hi all. Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
I am from Japan and learning to read in English, please tell me whether I wrote the following sentence: "Why did your husband have an affair? How to improve your self confidence in a relationship."
Waiting for a reply :-), Geary.
