I helped Paul Miller of Cision by adding a little historical (back to 2002) context to a survey asking journalists how they use web resources. As ever sampling issues are a big hurdle but raw data seems to contain some important lessons for PR practitioners.
More later but one message was about the influence of wikipedia as a source. More fundamental was a.weakness in understanding of how to create imaginative content in a usable form. At one level this was "I run a website so don't send me .PDFs" through a list of missed opportunities down that rise from not appreciating how journalists work.
