Here's an opportunity for anyone with a client lookign for a low-level but worthwhile sponsorship opportunity. One of my PR students, Naomi Robson, plays football for Newcastle United Ladies in the FA Premier League.
Naomi says: "Even though we play under the famous name, we don't actually get any backing from the football club itself, The Ladies team has to raise money itself in order for us to pay for pitches, kit and transport etc, where we sometimes have to travel as far as London!!
"Each season each team member has to find a sponsor for a season. This season with the costs being so high, we have to try and find three sponsors at £50 or £100 (prerferably £100!) which will help go towards costs!!
"In return the individual/company will be advertised in the match day programme each week and on our website."
