Time was when 'serious' newspapers were wary of covering football transfer stories, not least because the stories were so often wrong. But things are changing, as this article from Football365 shows. It is worth reading from two perspectives: is planting a story designed to unsettle a coveted player ethical PR, and what happens to a newspaper when some sections are perceived as less likely to be true than others?
