Trevor Cook and others have been debating the worth of PR bloggers blogging about PR so I weighed in with a few thoughts about the importance of bridging the gap between the leading edge thinkers and and real people (known as applied research in academic speak). As that was what our Making the News was all about I am delighted to see it is bearing fruit, or to be more precise, bearing Brussels sprouts. Check out Belgium's coolest export since Plastic Bertrand, Serge's Sunderland-inspired No Copy blog, the Sunderland-resuscitated Pub-lic Spaces and Sam's beautiful 529content. Both have aproached blogs with a sharp visual sense that puts Mediations to shame...

Put Mediations to shame? I think I can take a leaf or two out of your book when it comes to blogging, Philip. And as for the comparison with Plastic Bertrand: I can only hope my blog will be more than a one-hit-wonder... ;-) But still: a very big thank you for the support!

Kind words indeed. Thank you for the inspiration/metaphorical kick in the pants in Sunderland. I'm looking forward to seeing where this adventure into blogging leads
